Dr. Akanksha’s journey has been shaped by her diverse upbringing and deep-rooted values of service. Growing up across Tamil Nadu due to her father’s transferable role in the Indian Forest Service, she developed adaptability, empathy, and a strong sense of social responsibility. Inspired by his dedication to serving marginalized communities, she chose to channel her passion into healthcare.

Holding a B.D.S. and M.D.S., she actively participated in health camps, rural outreach programs, and public health surveys. Her academic excellence was recognized internationally when she received the Scottish Travel Prize from the University of Dundee, where she later contributed to the development of their Forensic Dentistry curriculum.
As President of Nagu Trust, Dr. Akanksha is committed to making quality healthcare accessible to underserved communities. Her leadership blends expertise, compassion, and a deep understanding of grassroots realities, driving the trust’s mission of equity, dignity, and holistic well-being.

From an early stage in his career, Dr. Arun, Managing Trustee of Nagu Trust, recognized the urgent need for accessible and quality healthcare in rural areas, particularly in the field of dentistry. After completing his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at JSS Dental College and Hospital (2004-2010), he chose to serve beyond urban centers and established dental clinics in Halgur and Malavalli, ensuring essential oral healthcare services for underserved communities.
As the Managing Trustee of Nagu Trust, Dr. Arun has been instrumental in driving the organization’s healthcare and social welfare initiatives. Under his leadership, the Trust actively conducts:
  • Free dental camps to provide preventive and curative treatments.
  • School health programs focused on oral hygiene awareness among children.
  • Community outreach initiatives that offer medical aid and health education in remote areas.
Through Nagu Trust, Dr. Arun is committed to bridging healthcare gaps, fostering social impact, and empowering rural communities with affordable and high-quality medical services. His dedication to ethical practice and patient well-being has earned him trust and respect among the people he serves.

Born and raised in rural Malavalli, Ms. Devika GM has always been deeply connected to the challenges faced by underserved communities. With a background in Physiotherapy (BPT), she combines her medical expertise with her passion for social service, making her an integral pillar of Nagu Trust.
As a Trustee, she plays a crucial role in building, managing, and strengthening the Trust, ensuring that its operations run smoothly and effectively. From organizing medical camps to handling the logistics and groundwork behind the trust’s initiatives, her dedication is reflected in every effort to uplift those in need.
Her inspiration to serve comes from her own rural roots, and she has worked tirelessly to ensure that the people of Malavalli and beyond receive quality healthcare, awareness, and support. Through her perseverance and leadership, she has helped turn Nagu Trust’s vision into a reality, making a meaningful impact on countless lives.
